Shawn Nesser will discuss SQL Server 2017 and an overview of what’s new.

About Shawn:
Shawn is a Data Architect with Microsoft. In his 17 years at Microsoft he has been a consultant, SQL Server technology specialist, BI technology specialist and Solution Specialist. He has focused the last 2 years on the Microsoft Big Data Platform. Outside of Microsoft, Shawn is a Commanding Officer of a Coast Guard Reserve Unit.

SQL Server 2017 Management Tools

Dan Guzman, Database Solution Architect Scottrade

With the release of SQL Server 2017, developers and DBAs need tools to develop and manage SQL Server on both Windows and Linux platforms. This presentation will discuss enhancements to existing tools and new tools available for managing databases in a cross-platform environment so that one can choose the right tool for the job at hand.

Dan Guzman has been using Microsoft SQL Server since version 4.21 was introduced on the Windows Server platform and has 30 years of experience in Database Administrator, Developer, and Architect roles. Dan's been a SQL Server MVP for over 10 years and is current a Database Solution Architect as a major brokerage firm.
